The electrical bill is high, and the windows are about to shatter, but
this thing sounds awesome! I have been fascinated with audio since I was just a little kid.
I started building this system when I was about 13 years old. Now, 11 years later, it is a real monster!
This system can be really loud and rattle your insides, but I intended it to give you a realistic stereo image.
When an instrument is playing, you feel like you can just point directly at it instead of a speaker.
The latest addition to the system are 2 15-inch Rockford Fosgate HX2 sub woofers. I spent a lot of time designing
and building the cabinets. The cabinets are made of 1-inch high-density particleboard. The ports are tuned to
resonate at 20Hz. I use an Optimus STAV-3250 reciever for an amp to run these. That amp was rated to be 100W at 8
ohms X2. I have been running it at less than 2 ohms X2 for years. The amp isn't dead yet! I plan to use this amp
until it fries! These subs really are way too much, but it's fun to raddle pop cans off the kitchen table upstairs!
